A new way to paddle

JD Platt has never been one for tradition. As a renaissance man with a penchant for exploring, JD has been a professional snowboarder, disc golfer, reality TV personality, dog performer, and nearly everything in between. An innovative thinker with a love of adrenaline, dogs, and the great outdoors, it comes as no surprise that his boards match all three passions.

from bend, oregon

JD had been paddle boarding along the Deschutes river in Bend, Oregon for years. It wasn’t long before he was hooked. But he discovered a few problems along the way – his dogs struggled to stay on the boards, hitting a rock could cause hundreds of dollars in damage to his board.

JD SUP K9 Tour Board

from K9s to kids

JD set out to craft boards the whole family would enjoy, from K9s to kids

Armed with an active imagination, a successful history in sports, and a fierce drive to expand the world of paddling, JD set out to craft boards the whole family would enjoy, from K9s to kids. It’s appropriate that JD would continue his tradition of high flying stunts with snowboarding, the Freestyle paddle board and his K9 Kings Flying Dog Show with the K9 touring board. The SUP freestyle revolution is a rising term used to describe flashy, playful, or otherwise impressive moves performed on a stand up paddle board.  It’s about wowing your audience while making it look effortless – like dancing on water.
